Membership Levels – New in FanMaker 3!

The new membership levels feature automatically ranks and groups fans into different levels of status. Setup levels at various point thresholds and fans will be automatically assigned when they qualify. Levels have names and colors you choose and there is no limit to the quantity. A member’s rank and level is re-evaluated every time they earn points, and even falls when points expire and a threshold is no longer met.

Similar to frequent flyer miles, membership levels give your fans something to work towards, and gives you more promotion and segmentation options. For example, you can offer certain benefits, or discounts exclusive to higher levels. A simple graph, like the one shown below, displays current status and level structure.

Reports Now Run up to 20 Times Faster Plus Custom Columns and Email Delivery

We’ve been busy over the holidays improving some of the background aspects of FanMaker and I’m happy to share with you today the complete re-write of the export/reports system! In the past large exports of 50,000+ members would take tens of hours. NO MORE! The new system can churn through millions and millions of rows of data in minutes, not hours! For example a 100,000 member export (with all activity details) involving the merging of gigabytes of data can be complete in under 100 minutes!

No more waiting, and checking back on your reports. When your export finishes you will receive an email with an expiring link to file. Past reports are always visible in the admin.

When building your reports you can customize what columns are included, adding just the data you need or select all to include the kitchen sink!

And when you using the “Download” button on any member list view the same powerful new system will run your export fast and with custom columns.

Welcome New Members with Registration Points

Get your members started off on the right foot with registration points. Now you can award a set number of points just for signing up. Great for encouraging new fans to join! It’s easy to set up under the connections tab in the admin settings area:

But what about your existing members that did not get points when they joined, or the thousands of single ticket buyers you imported that have not logged in yet? Just check the optional box to award existing members points on their next login. Now you can run a promotion to get those imported members engaged. Combine with mobile app install points for a home run!

New! Add an Image, Buy Tickets Link, and Promotional Details to Events

As part of our 3.2 Mobile app update we focused on giving teams more options for event promotion. You now have the option to add an image, text details, and even let fans buy tickets within the app. Here’s what this new feature looks like in action.



All of these optional items are available under the event details section of each events settings.

Introducing Micro Surveys – Valuable Data Collection, one Question at a Time

You can now build targeted surveys, and reward members for filling them out. Members use the mobile app to answer, and they are presented with one question at a time – We call them Micro Surveys, here is what one looks like.

When members answer the questions, the results flow into a new dashboard. You can see the response rate and effectiveness for each survey, and even drill down to each question’s results. Demographic questions are mapped directly into the fanmaker system, and your custom question results are downloadable at any time.

Easy Member Profile Editing

Sometimes you need to edit or fix a single users information – and now you can! On the new member profile page in the admin you can now click to edit the following:

  • Email address
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Member ID
  • Student ID
  • Ticketmaster ID
  • PID, and other custom IDs you have loaded
